Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and for considering an adoption plan. We would be honored to be considered as possible parents for this child.
If we are chosen as adoptive parents, we will make him or her feel loved, supported, and encouraged as they grow and learn about the world around them. We can’t wait to welcome a little one into our home and our hearts.
Our Family and Friends
Although our families are spread across the country, we enjoy taking time to visit. Scott’s parents currently live in Florida, and a trip south is a refreshing break from the cold NY winters. We visit each Christmas and have a wonderful time decorating cookies and playing card games. Our favorite tradition is participating in “Mystery Gifts,” a silly take on a family-wide gift exchange that always fills the whole room with laughter.

Our Hobbies and Interests
In the time we have been in New York, we have both become rather outdoorsy people. We spend time in the summer rock climbing, backpacking in the Adirondacks, and camping. We are extremely excited to share these activities with a new family member. Scott has already found a backpack with a built-in baby carrier so that we can take the whole family out on hikes. The idea of family hiking and camping is something that Scott loved as a child when he lived in Colorado, and he looks forward to bringing the same fun to our family.

Our Home
We found the perfect home for us, and we absolutely love living here. We have a big backyard and plenty of space for our dogs, and eventually for children. We enjoy cooking dinner together, and can envision a child playing at the table in the breakfast nook while we bake bread or cheesecake.
Along with plenty of grassy play space, we have a small garden where we grow fresh fruits and vegetables that we incorporate into our meals. We have wild-growing raspberries around the house that we harvest to make jam each...
About Scott, by Kelsey
Scott was always someone I considered to be the smartest in the room. When we first met, he was a physics and biology double major and considering going to medical school. What makes Scott stand out is how much he enjoys sharing what he knows with others. He is amazing at making difficult subjects easy to understand.
He is enthusiastic about his interests and thoroughly enjoys sharing his passions with others. He will be an excellent resource for a child in helping with fun stuff, like hobbies, and also the hard...
About Kelsey, by Scott
Kelsey is a very motivated, driven person, who cares for those around her. She is passionate and committed to enjoying new experiences, even if they are not directly for her benefit. When I bought my first car, she took the opportunity to scour the internet for information. She was there with me at the dealership and made sure that I didn’t miss important details. She was eager to support me in what others might view as a mundane task, and I am excited to see her bring a similar level of enthusiasm to the life of a child.

Our Story
Hi! We’re Scott and Kelsey, and we’d like to welcome you to our journey as prospective parents. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our story as we build our family together.
The phrase “love at first sight” doesn’t quite fit our initial reactions to each other. We attended college together and although we took many of the same classes and were both on the swim team, we did not have much of a fondness for one another. Over the course of a few years, we realized how much we...
